White Cloud openly admit they make the most expensive electronic cigarette on the market. But they also claim to sell hand-made products of the highest quality available anywhere, which fully justifies the scary price tag. The company has been around for a while now and has gained some popularity, so we thought we’d add our own White Cloud Cigarettes review, to find out if their claims are fact or fiction.

Package Presentation

The Cirrus e-cigarette produced by White Cloud comes in three different starter kits, the cheapest one costing a whopping $149.95, more than the priciest package offered by a lot of other competing premium brands. If the price hasn’t already scared you into clicking the “back” button on your browser, the actual contents of the kit probably will. For the above mentioned cost, you get:

    • 2 Batteries
    • 1 USB Charger
    • 5 Smooth Draw Cartridges
    • A 6 Month Warranty

White Cloud2 White Cloud E Cigarette ReviewAnd to make matters worse, the Cirrus starter kit contains their old model e-cigarette. If you want to enjoy the latest technology the company has developed, you have to fork out $239.95, for the same contents listed above, plus a user manual. Only in this case you’re getting the new Cirrus II e-cigarette, guaranteed to deliver 100 more puffs than its older sibling.

And if that’s not premium enough for you, feel free to spend your money on their deluxe starter kits, the Cirrus 3 and Cirrus 3x, which come with three batteries, as well as AC wall adapters. Sure they priced around $300, but if you want the best, you have to pay for it.

I have to say at first sight the White Cloud starter kit looked pretty poor compared to other brands previously reviewed. The standard packages don’t even include wall chargers, let alone car chargers or portable charging units. Not the best way to start a review, I know, but sometimes it’s about quality, not quantity. Let’s see if that’s the case with White Cloud e-cigarettes.

Battery Life

Many e-cigarette brands claim their batteries are the best on the market, that they use some kind of new technology that makes them last longer than any other similar device in the business, but most of them tend to exaggerate in the name of marketing. White Cloud Cigarettes isn’t one of these brands, and although their products cost several times as much as other premium electronic cigarettes, they are pretty good.

White Cloud3 White Cloud E Cigarette ReviewTake the new Cirrus II batteries, for example. On the company’s official site you aren’t served any bull about some new revolutionary technology they’ve used in developing their hardware. They are Lithium Polymer batteries, like the ones offered by most other e-cigarette manufacturers, but White Cloud takes pride in perfecting this technology and creating batteries that output more constant voltage and last a lot longer. They do seem to better than the original, but their performance isn’t what you’d call amazing, compare to the other brands, and it certainly doesn’t justify the astronomical price

Cirrus II e-cigarette batteries deliver around 250 puffs on a single charge, giving you plenty of independence from the charger, especially if you also have your second battery with you. And considering one of these babies only take up to 90 minutes to fully charge, it’s safe to say they’re worth some of that extra cash. And if these figures aren’t satisfying enough, you can opt for the Cirrus 3X which comes with smaller-size batteries that  deliver over 600 puffs on a single charge. Now that really sounds impressive, and it’s nice knowing you’re covered for a whole day without even thinking about charging, but the $349.95 price of the three-battery starter kit is pretty prohibitive.

Vapor Volume

With a name like “White Cloud” you would expect these e-cigarettes to deliver the thickest vapor possible, and you’d be right. Thanks to the new cartomizsers and improved battery, the Cirrus II produces some pretty impressive hits, if you enjoy taking slow and long drags. The company’s new line was designed around a concept called “Smooth Draw Technology” which allows the users to get puffs similar to a normal cigarette, provided they take good slow draws.

I expected nothing short of flawless performance from the Cirrus II, considering its astronomic price, and I have to say I was pretty satisfied with what it delivered. Smooth, easy draw rewards you with a nice throat hit that really takes you back to those tobacco smoking days, only without the bad smell and constant coughing. To get the best result, I recommend at least one or two short puffs to prime it, before sucking in the big cloud.

White Cloud4 White Cloud E Cigarette ReviewOne of the things a lot of White Cloud customers used to complain about was the flavors, and it wasn’t their taste they didn’t like, but the fact that they were pretty weak. But ever since the company launched the new Smooth Draw Cartomizers things have improved significantly. I for one rather enjoyed the nice tobacco that really came very close to what I use to smoke when cigarettes were my poison of choice, but flavors are matter of taste and you should take my view with a grain of salt.

In terms of diversity, White Cloud offers a decent variety of flavors. You can choose between classic tobacco (my favorite), menthol, vanilla, espresso, clove, chocolate, strawberry and the new Kick flavor (a combination of honey and cinnamon). We got the variety pack so I had a chance to try them all, and I can tell you no matter your preference, you’re going to get a nice strong aroma with each puff. I’m sticking to tobacco flavor, which was one of the best I’ve ever tasted, but if you have more of a sweet you’ll love all the others as well.

Price vs Value

This is definitely the hardest part of our review, as I find pretty tough to justify the price of White Cloud e-cigarettes, regardless of how good they are. I mean just comparing them to most other premium electronic cigarette brands, you’d get the feeling all the rest our junk, because of the big price difference, which really isn’t the case. That being said, the Cirrus II really does outperform many of the e-cigarettes I’ve tried over the years, both in terms of battery life and vapor volume. Still, not a lot of people can afford to pay this sort of cash on an e-cig, considering the current economic climate and the fact that these break down at some point, and have to be replaced.

If you’re looking for quality and aren’t willing to compromise, White Clouds e-cigarettes are an excellent option, but you can certainly find a lot of considerably cheaper alternatives out there. They are often referred to as the Rolls Royce of the e-cigarette market, so if you can afford them, go for it, but just like in the case of Rolls Royce cars, you’re spending most of the money on the brand. The company offers top-notch support, both by phone and email, which is to be expected with such a high-end product, so you don’t have to worry in case you run into any trouble.

  • plenty of vapor
  • satisfying throat hit
  • good customer service

  • astronomical price

I don’t understand why everyone is hating on White Cloud right now. Yeah, it’s the most expensive electronic cigarette available, so what, no one is forcing you to buy it. I tried the cheaper Blu e-cig before, and I’ve learned my lesson about getting what you paid for, so I forked out a few more bucks on the Cirrus II. I’m much happier with it,and all my friends think it’s cool too. I got it from a local mall, and I gotta say, these things are selling like hot cakes.
So anyway, vape what you want, but stop hating on things you don’t know about!

This company is nothing but a ripoff. If you are considering e-cigs, I suggest you try a company who offers a 100% refund in case you find out you don’t like e-cigs or have an allergic reaction like I did. I tried the cirrus 3x product, was not impressed with the smoke, and I also found out I am allergic to something in the cartridges. Of course, they are charging me $63.00 for a restocking fee, which seems pretty high since I mailed the product back to them the very next day and I don’t think it will cost them $63.00 to restock the cartridges or anything else in the kit. I wonder what they do with the items they restock, maybe refurbish and sell them as new to other customers. When I was on the phone with customer service they said each battery costs $140.00. And one more thing I would like to mention, the 2 yr warranty that is included with the kit is only a manufacturer’s warranty, it is not the extended 2 yr warranty they sell.

I started searching for an ecig when my place of employment passed a workplace policy that prevented smoking on site. I tried so many of the brands, the ones in the gas stations that you toss, the liquid ones, some blue thing–they were garbage–I was losing hope–I was literally thinking I needed to quit or go part time–I’d been smoking for 15 years—I couldnt find something that satisfied every physical dependency I had on cigarettes, either I couldnt feel the burn, I couldnt see the vapor, or the taste wasnt dirty enough., and then I found white cloud. At first, the investment seemed steep compared to other brands, but in this case, I found you REALLY do get what you pay for. This hit every spot. So I bought it about two years ago. I’m not sure when it happened, but eventually I stopped going for the real ones after work, the nicotine fix was so perfect with the white cloud that, I didnt even crave one. Over about a year, I completely stopped smoking the real things–and I didnt even mean to–all the patches, hypnosis, chantix etc that I tried with quitting as my goal never worked–I didnt even want to quit this time—Now I cant even stand the smell of one. I feel so much better, I smell so much better, and I try to tell everyone about this–it is so very worth it–I was a Winston Ultralight smoker–the XR reg smooth draw cartridges are so close to it–without the yuck mouth.

First of all, congratulations on your etcipxeng a baby. As an ex-smoker, I can tell you that it is literally impossible to quit smoking unless you REALLY want to do it yourself. You need to make him *want* to quit smoking himself. It needs to be a decision that he makes on his own otherwise it just won’t work. You can push him in that direction by trying to convince him how it would be better for your family, but bottom line you can’t make him do it. Only he can make himself do it.

I’ve tried 2 other brands before this White Cloud Cirrus 3X. The first one was Luci. great taste, but really left me wanting a real cig. The second was Blu. Great product. taste was good, and was satisfied, but still it didn’t mimic the experience of smoking real cigs.

I wanted to get the best on the market, so I tried White Cloud. At first, I was put off by the comparitive price point. BUT, you get what you pay for in this world, so I jumped out the window. From the first pull, I felt as if I was smoking a real cig again. The throat hit was FAR more intense than my previous brands. ANd the taste was very much as I remembered analog cigs to be. The fit & feal of the product is also superior to the other 2 brands I used in the past. 4 or 5 puffs, and I was satisfied as if I was smoking a real cig. This is THE MOST like actual smoking I have ever tried. I actually treied several brand other than the 2 I purchaced myself. I have a stock pile of Blu products, and they are going to be given away.

Lets face it, if you are more concerned with price point, then White Cloud really isn’t for you. BUT, if you want the actual experience of smoking without all the bad parts, and price really isn’t your issue, get this product.

For people who live where cigs are like $5 per pack or cheaper, it really isn’t about the money (even though it is STILL cheaper). But for us where real cigs are $13 – $16 a pack (in NYC), this is a no brainer. The cost is significantly less using White Cloud even with the “Rolls Royce” price point. Truthfully, it’s more about the better lifestyle then the price anyway. Even though, for the price of less than a month’s worth of real cigs, I got 3 months worth of White Cloud carts, including the initial Cirrus 3x starter kit. Each 5 pack should be a weeks worth of smokes for me. I’d say $20 a month for smokes is a hell of a savings compared to $13.50 (on the low side) per day.

So that high price tag issue is a non-factor.
