V2 Cigs is widely regarded as one of the best electronic cigarettes  in the world, today. Although the company hasn’t been in the game nearly as long as other big players in the business, their high quality products and elegant presentation quickly earned V2 positive reviews and praises from satisfied vapers. To find out if their e-cigarettes are really as good as everyone says they are, check out our V2 Cigs electronic cigarette review:

Package Presentation

V2 Cigs4 V2 Cigs E Cigarette ReviewV2 Cigs electronic cigarettes come in a variety of starter kits to meet every ex-smoker’sneeds, from the cheaper V2 Economy Kit, to the impressive V2 Ultimate Kit which includes pretty much everything an e-cig user could ever need. We tested their popular V2 Standard Kit that contains:

    • 2 batteries
    • 10 e-liquid cartridges
    • 1 USB charger
    • 1 standard A/C Wall Adapter

That sounds pretty basic, but V2 does offer some pretty attractive choices. For example, they let you choose what kind of e-cigarette batteries you’d like included in your starter kit, meaning you can choose between 1 Auto and 1 Manual Battery (we’ll talk about these in the next section) or 2 of each. You can also opt for short, standard or long batteries, and a customized selection of flavor cartridges, according to your tastes.

While the V2 Cigs Standard starter kit includes everything the average electronic cigarette user needs, we were rather impressed with their Ultimate Kit offer. Apart from the contents listed above, it also comes with a stylish metal carry case, a useful car charger, a V2 Power-Cig which connects to your computer via USB and delivers a more consistent vapor thickness, and the coolest item of all – a slick Portable Charging Case (PCC) that fits into your pocket and allows you to recharge your V2 electronic cigarette up to 5 times before having to plug into a power outlet.

Battery Life

Whether you opt for the standard, shorty or long V2 batteries, you’ll end up with an elegant, slick electronic cigarette that will keep you puffin’ on vapor for anywhere between 2 and four hours. The shorty obviously stores less power but it’s the perfect choice for vapers who find large e-cigarettes somewhat cumbersome, the long battery delivers about 100 extra puffs, while the standard battery is a compromised between the two. A fully-charged standard V2 battery will produce about 200 puffs and has a charging time of 2-3 hours. All batteries come in a variety of colors and   LED tips.

V2 Cigs2 V2 Cigs E Cigarette ReviewOne of the features that make V2 Cigs electronic cigarettes stand out is the manual switch option of their V2 manual batteries. Unlike the automatic batteries used by most e-cigarette companies, which are drag-activated, these manual devices offer more control over the heating element of the electronic cigarette and provide considerably more vapor. Whereas in the case of automatic batteries you have to puff a few times to heat up the e-liquid and insure a healthy breath of vapor, with V2 manual batteries all you have to do is press the small plastic button on the battery before taking a puff, and you’re rewarded with a thick plume of vapor, without having to prime the cigarette. Some users find the manual switch option somewhat uncomfortable to use, but we liked it, a lot.

Compared to other premium electronic cigarette brands, V2 Cigs offers some of the most versatile yet robust batteries on the market, proving that research and innovation go a long way. Plus all their batts are rated at 4.2 volts, which is higher than a lot of other e-cigarette batteries and means you get a lot more vapor with every puff.

Vapor Volume

Because this is one of the most important features people consider when choosing an electronic cigarette, we here at E-cigarette Reviews take vapor production very serious. V2 e-cigs are notorious for producing impressive clouds of thick vapor, but that sounded too good to be true, so when we decided to test them ourselves we didn’t get our hopes up. That’s probably why we were so impressed with how they performed during this brutal stage of our review. Basically we took the two fully charged batteries and two cartomizers and started vaping until either the batts or the cartos were depleted. Under heavy vaping, both the automatic and manual devices proved very impressive and produced the same amount of vapor consistently throughout the entire test. That’s a very important aspect, because other e-cigs have the tendency to produce considerably less vapor in the last stages of battery life.

V2 Cigs3 V2 Cigs E Cigarette ReviewThe most common question smokers ask about an e-cigarette is “does it taste like a real cigarette?”. To be honest I have yet to find the perfect match, but I have stumbled across some pretty good close alternatives, and the V2 e-cigarette is definitely one of them. Their tobacco flavors, V2 Red, Congress and Sahara are aimed at previous smokers of Marlboro Red, Parliament and Camel, and are very appreciated by V2 e-cigarette users who still long for the taste of tobacco. I personally fell in love with the smooth refined taste of Congress, but I have some friends who swear by V2 Red. Ultimately it’s a matter of personal taste, I guess, but the bottom line is V2 Cigs nailed its  tobacco flavors.

For those of you who enjoy flavors other than tobacco, V2 Cigs offers a selection of e-juices that includes coffee, menthol, peppermint, cherry, vanilla, chocolate, and cola. According to V2 Cigs, each flavor cartomizer is the equivalent of a pack of cigarettes, but we found they last more the equivalent of 15 cigarettes, which is not so bad. Since pre-filled cartomizers cost more than empty ones, you can save some money by buying blank cartos and V2 e-liquid and fill them yourself. It takes some getting used to, but it’s considerably cheaper, especially if you’re a heavy vaper.

Price vs. Value

V2 Cigs e-cigarettes are probably the most popular vaping devices on the market right now, and for good reason. Their batteries perform great even under heavy vaping, and the cartomizers are some of the best we’ve had the privilege of reviewing. To convince customers of the quality products they supply, V2 Cigs offers a lifetime warranty, which is definitely a big plus. At $74.99, the V2 Cigs Standard Kit may not be as cheap as the crappy e-cigarette kits you can buy at your local gas station, but after you’ve taken your first draw, the price difference starts to make sense.

  • automatic and manual batteries
  • impressive vapor production
  • multiple size e-cigarettes
  • fine tobacco flavors
  • lifetime warranty
  • 4.2 volt batteries

  • not the cheapest e-cigarette
  • product popularity leads to back orders

A friend of mine recommended the V2, after he tried like a dozen other brands. It’s definitely one of the most popular brands online

The design of the V2 cigs is great, but I found the V2 cigs to be inferior to the Ego brand which can be purchased for much less. The V2 comes with a nice case for your batteries, but it does not have enough room to store the other goodies, including charger and sealed cartridges. The portable charger does not hold a charge for very long… I Learned that the hard way. The vapor is also not as fulfilling as the Ego. The Ego gives you a better sense of smoking without taking in all the nasty chemicals of traditional cigs. Given the chance to return the V2, I would for several reasons. Another benefit of the Ego is that you can adjust a dial to increase or decrease the vapor…..Love that feature, and you have a huge selection of fun flavors from e-juice sites where you can create custom flavors that V2 does not carry. If they did carry them, they would be overpriced anyway. If you are new to e-cigs, before you commit, do your homework. Keep in mind too that even when a company offers a 30 day trial online, the trial starts the day you buy it, not the day you received it. That was my mistake :(

    • Florin says:

      Hey Janet,

Although I respect your opinion, you really can’t compare the V2 with the Ego. That would be like saying Vladimir Klitschko is a better boxer than Manny Pacquiao, which may very well be true, but not very fair considering the difference in size

The first time I ordered from this company, it took an eternity to receive the product (4 weeks). The second time I ordered from them, I ordered variety pack of mediums. When the order arrived, 2 cartridges were “full” (I don’t want to go stronger), and 1 cartridge was “light.” I contacted the company and asked if they would replace the 3 cartridges or give me a partial refund. They offered to give me a 10% discount on my next order – which was laughable, since I had already received a 15% off coupon with the order. I, again, told them I wanted 3 replacements or a partial refund. They refused to do either. They said they are unable to refund money back to a bank card – which is BS. It’s too bad that their customer service is so horrible because they actually have a great product. If you can find a good product elsewhere, though, do – because I found this company to be shady.

I just received my V2 starter kit and a package of the variety pack. I am new to the e-cig arena and it has been quiete difficult to find any review sites that are legit. I purchased the full and have to say, I can’t even inhale them. They hurt my chest and get me lightheaded / slight headache almost immediately. Has anyone else had this problem with the full strength liquid? Is it the strength or the V2 liquid? I am a pack and a half smoker of Newports in the past, followed by Newport Lights.

    • Florin says:

Yeah, the full strength is really not your best option when starting out with electronic cigarettes. Even now, after vaping for years, I still have a problem with strong e-liquids like the 2.4% nicotine Red Label from Green Smoke. Full flavor is definitely not for everybody. These days I only go for the strong stuff for review purposes, otherwise I tend to stick to the medium juices, and I recommend you do the same, especially since you last smoked lights.

I’ve had no problems with V2’s e-liquid, I remember I particularly enjoyed they’re tobacco variety, but I guess it’s a matter of personal taste. You can try using different e-liquid (Halo’s is pretty good), but if you ask me, these symptoms are pretty normal for a beginner vaper and you should just change to medium. Take a look at this short list of common symptoms of switching from tobacco to e-liquid: http://ecigarettereviewsite.net/e-cigarette-faqs/what-are-the-side-effects-of-switching-to-electronic-cigarettes/

Hope you don’t give up on e-cigarettes too easy. Take care,

I have been using V2’s for about a yesr. Love them. I smoke a light cigarette for many years. I order the 12mg, thinking about going to 6. Love the designer batteries and all the flavors. Always get my orders on time, Only once they were out of 12 vanilla and the emailed me to see if I would like a replacement Wouldn’t use any other.

I smoke V2-Reds 6ml and I am doing fine with it. I smoked Pall Mall Orange pack, I smoked for 30 years and I have not had a cigarette in 6 months. The vapor cigarette does work. You do have to try several vapors until you find your liking. I am so happy I can say I do not smoke.

  • James says:

I just can’t believe that this was an objective review. I had lots and lots of trouble with their batteries AND their customer service is obnoxious. After complaining about a dysfunctional battery their customer service “professional” told me to blow into the battery 7 magical times to “clear” it. Yeah right! If you call them on a warranty you pay the shipping for return (if blowing into it 7 time doesn’t work). I also looked up the material safety data sheets on a couple of the accelerator ingredients in their e liquid and there you go…”DO NOT INHALE”. Terrible hardware and questionable ingredients….enough said.

  • Mary Prince says:

I started using Century 21 first then went to Ismok, then to Victory, then to Finn, now I’m with V2 and Green Smoke they are my favorite but last week customer service at V2 was shady, no more free shipping either even though their flavors are good, now Green Smoke batteries last me 2 days before I have to recharge the flavors are pretty good also it’s the price they are higher than the others that I’ve had but better to me and customer service is great
